Have you ever stared at the night sky and felt small and insignificant?

Psalm 8 reflects that feeling. We’re of no value compared to the vast cosmos. Yet, the Bible tells a different story. It says God values us infinitely, like a treasured possession.

It’s non-rational. Imagine a worn-out blanket. It might seem worthless, it might actually BE trash. but to the right person, it holds memories of comfort and security. And he might go ballistic if you threw away what is objectively a piece of trash. That’s how God sees us. We might seem insignificant, but He sees our value irrationally and loves us unconditionally.

Romans 5:8 tells us that Christ died for us when we were undeserving. If God gave us His life, wouldn’t He give us everything else? Paul the apostle asks.

I hope this thought brings you much comfort! We are loved, no matter how small we might sometimes feel.
